3D Printing steps
1. Make a base for your model. Mesh>Booleans>Union to unite the base and model.
2. Know your scale. Check your units of measure by going to Windows>Settings/Preferences>Preferences and clicking "Settings" on the left side of the menu. The default is usually centimeters. Don't change the units, just remember what they are set to.
3. Measure your model. You will need to know the Height x Width x Depth of your model in order to print. Create>Measure Tools>Distance to measure these in orthographic view. Figure out how large or small your model is, and scale it up or down to the size you want to print. Write down the new measurements!
4. File>Export Selection> and save as an .STL or OBJ
5. Schedule a time using this calendar. Use a DaVinci printer for your first print.
6. Email CTS with your name, the HxWxD of your model, the color you would like it printed in, and the .stl file you exported from Maya.
