Today we learned about creating characters and thinking about them in their simplest form.
Shapes have it's own meanings..circle is good. and comforting..
square is strong and stable..
triangle is intense and grounded.
Cool. So how do we apply this?
How I started,
1. First think of a character design I liked.
2. Create a bunch of shapes that appealed to me, and kind of worked from there.
3. Create different versions of the same character, it's interesting how shapes can make large differences in the same character. I even changed the shape of the character's nose to see the contrast.
4. I pick my more preferred look. Then start to detail and make my final measurements for the character!
